Please complete and submit this form either to add to or remove vehicles from the Motor Insurance Database.
To
comply with the 4th EU Motor Directive you are required to provide the
Motor Insurance Database (MID) with the registration numbers of all
vehicles that are owned by the policyholder and the policyholder's
spouse (if he or she is named as a driver under this policy) and that
will be driven, used or parked on a road or public place. This includes:
All vehicles, which are the property of the Insured
All vehicles, which are the property of the spouse of the Insured if he or she is named as a driver under this policy.
Stock vehicles taxed and in your possession for more than 14 days for the purpose of sale.
Vehicles driven under Trade Plate regulations. All Trade Plate numbers must be disclosed.
This
information should be given below and we will notify the MID on your
behalf. Please note however, that a Motor Trade Road Risks policy does
not provide cover for all vehicles or every eventuality and the
submission of this information should not be regarded as an acceptance
on our part that cover applies in respect of the vehicle bearing the
registration number disclosed.
Warning:
This is a legal obligation and failure to supply the information and
keep it up to date is a criminal offence. The maximum penalty is a fine
of £5000. The Motor Insurers Information Centre (MIIC) will be seeking
prosecution on non-compliant policy holders.
Any failure on the part of the policyholder(s) to notify Unicom Insurance Services of vehicle updates, within a reasonable timescale, will result in vehicle(s) being added or removed from the date Unicom Insurance Services Ltd receive instructions.
